Thank you for inquiring about the Venture Creation Program. We are very pleased to learn that you are thinking about starting up your own business and considering our program. Graduates of our program have been quite successful in their business ventures and some have gone on to win local, provincial and federal awards. We look forward to meeting you and having you participate in our program. The Venture Creation Program is an youth entrepreneurship program offered by the Waterloo Region District School Board and sponsored by the Government of Canada. It is a 29-week, hands-on entrepreneurship program that offers young people (aged 15-29) an opportunity to learn and apply everything they need to know about starting and running a business in Waterloo Region. We encourage you to consider our program even if you have not yet found the perfect business idea or if you have not yet researched your idea to prove its feasibility, because part of our program is designed to assist you in the idea generation and evaluation process. We will work with you from these initial stages right through to the actual start-up of your business. The Venture Creation Program will help you to learn and apply everything you need to know about researching, starting and running a business. This includes field experience, personal development, skill development in key business areas, and developing your own business plan.
